As Principal Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Horticulture, Government of Rajasthan Ms. Neelkamal Darbari is responsible for managing the policy environment for change, modernization and sustainability of agricultural practices, while strengthening the traditional base. Capacity building of the extension machinery of the departments, exposure, skill development and organization of farming communities to leverage their strengths and improve the market value of their produce for making farming more remunerative, are some of the objectives. The activities include putting in place innovative and technologically proven practices, through demonstration farms and orchards, including protected farming techniques and efficient and optimal use of inputs, in particular water. The overarching goal is to improve the per hectare yield, increase farmer’s income and contribute to food security in a largely rain fed agricultural economy.
She was the Joint Secretary at National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India where she was handling capacity building & training, response & relief, plans & policy, international co-operation and administration. She also contributed in draft layout of India’s position on Hyogo II at Sendai, Japan. She also served as Joint Secretary, Petrochemical, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals at Government of India for nearly 5 years where responsibilities ranged from infrastructure development of chemical and petrochemical clusters and capacity building and skill development as per demands of industry.
She is an MBA, Business from Southern Cross University, Australia. She had previously done Masters in English from Banasthali Vidhyapith. She is currently heading the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) slated for 24th - 26th May 2017, at Kota, @GramRajasthan, gramrajasthan.in, with the avowed objective of creating and promoting the right ecosystem for doubling farm incomes by 2022.
As a well-known scientist Dr. Balraj Singh has acquired 26 years of valuable experience in research, training, HRD and extension in the field of vegetable crops and protected cultivation of horticultural crops. In the initial ten years he worked with All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Vegetables and developed several vegetable and vegetable seed production technologies. He was also a member of the pioneer team that implemented Protected Cultivation Technology in India under the Indo-Israel collaborative project established in the year 1999. Later the project took shape of the Centre for Protected Cultivation Technology (CPCT), IARI, New Delhi where he worked for more than 13 years and also headed the same for more than 4 years.
He got training on ‘‘Horticultural crop production under climatic constraints” at Faculty of Agriculture, Hebrew University, Rehovot, Israel in the year 2000 and on “Leadership and Decision making” at world’s most prestigious management institute, Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University, Cambridge USA in November, 2013.
Before appointment as V.C, A.U, Jodhpur Dr. Balraj Singh was also appointed as Horticulture Commissioner by Government of India. He also worked as Director of ICAR-National Research Centre on Seed Spices, Ajmer. Currently he is holding the honorary position of the President of the Indian Society of Seed Spices. As a resource person, he has been member of various Working Groups formed by few Indian States for implementation of Protected Cultivation and Hi-Tech Vegetable Farming.
He is the founder Secretary of the Indian Society for Protected Cultivation and he was also the Vice President of Indian Society of Seed Technology. He has also published more than 130 research papers in national and international referred journals. He is the author of the first Indian text book on ‘Protected Cultivation of Vegetables Crops’ and also authored edited book on “Advances on Protected Cultivation” which has been forwarded by the Hon’ble Ex-President of India Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Dr. Balraj Singh’s contributions are well recognized both at international and national forums through various awards and recognitions. Recently he has been selected for the Dr. Kirti Singh Gold Medal for the year 2015 by Horticulture Society of India for his outstanding contributions in the field of horticulture (Vegetable Sciences). Dr. Balraj is a doctorate in vegetable science.
Dr. Rohan is presently working as a scientist in ICRISAT and involved in ODISHA-BHOOCHETANA project. He worked as a Research Fellow under the project "Performance evaluation of Fosetyl - AL 80 WP (Aliette) and other protection range chemicals for Bayer Crop Science Limited on Pomegranate health and productivity" at ICAR - National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur. He completed Ph. D. Horticulture from Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari in 2015 and then worked as research Fellow at National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur. Dr. Rohan has written many publications on agriculture technologies to name a few he has authored:

Edward W. Bresnyan, Jr., Senior Agriculture Economist at the World Bank, has worked since 1997 on agriculture and rural sector operations throughout Latin America (primarily in Brazil and Central America), and more recently in India on decentralized watershed management, smallholder dairy development, climate-smart agriculture and agricultural higher education. Dr. Bresnyan’s main areas of interest have been Community-Driven Development, particularly in Northeast Brazil, and increasing market access for smallholder producers, both in Latin America and South Asia. Dr. Bresnyan is currently the Task Team Leader for the World Bank support to India’s National Dairy Plan and the Rajasthan Agricultural Competitiveness Project (RACP). He also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer to Honduras from 1985-1988, where he worked with rural producers to build stronger, more financially viable businesses. Dr. Bresnyan holds a Ph. D. in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida (USA).
Dr. Tewari started his career as Scientist (Horticulture) in 1986 at Central Soil & Water conservation Research & Training Institute, Research Centre, Ooty (T.N.) and moved to Datia (M.P.) in 1988. He contributed in natural resource management through watershed approach and documented Agroforestry systems of Bundelkhand region. He worked on top-working of ber and karonda. He joined National Research Centre for Agroforestry, Jhansi in 2000 as Senior Scientist and became Principal Scientist in 2006. He is pioneer in developing bench grafting technique in sub-tropical fruits like aonla, ber and bael fruits. His contribution in watershed development in Garhkundar-Dabar watershed (Tikamgarh, M.P.) was recognized by ICAR and he was conferred Vasant Rao Naik Award - 2010 for dryland agriculture. His work on watershed has amply proved that watershed interventions can support crop yield upto two consecutive drought years. Agroforestry interventions as integral component of watershed development bring resilience during adverse climatic conditions. Further, he contributed immensely in two more watershed projects in Jhansi (U.P.) and validated findings of watershed management in Bundelkhand region.
Dr. Gopal Lal S/o Shri Ishwar Ram has born on 10.03.1967 at Rajlia, Nawa City, Nagaur district in Rajasthan state. He did his M. Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture in 1992 and Ph.D. (Horticulture) in 1996 from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. He has been awarded by Gold Medal for M. Sc (Ag.) Horticulture degree. He made notable contribution in the field of research, teaching and extension on different aspects of fruits, vegetable seed spices and post harvest technology of horticultural crops. He taught five courses to UG and PG students and guided 15 students for M. Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture and 01 for Ph. D. (Horticulture) degree. Nearly 25 technologies in fruit crops and 35 technologies in seed spices on various aspects of crop improvement, crop management, INM, IWM, crop protection, post harvest technology and processing of horticultural crops have been developed by him for the benefit of different stake holders. He developed important Agri-horti cropping systems with the integration of arid fruits, vegetables, pulses, henna and seed spices at RRS (CAZRI), Pali and NRCSS, Ajmer for enhancing resource use efficiency and farmer's income. He has published 104 research papers, 125 popular articles, 49 book chapters, 20 bulletins/manuals, 04 authored and 11 edited books. He has developed more than 20 value added products of fruits and vegetables and six patents have been filed at Indian Patent Office. Six technologies has been commercialized and generated revenue of Rs.3.00 lakh to the institute plus 03% royalty on sale. He has organised 15 national, state and district level seminars, 40 training programmes, 12 farmer's fairs and more than 1200 front line demonstrations for effective transfer of technology for the benefit of stake holders. As a President, Vice President and Secretary, Dr. Gopal Lal has played very important role in various scientific activities of Indian Society of Seed Spices, Ajmer. As a horticulture expert, he also played a crucial role in Rajasthan Kisan Ayog for two years during 2011-13 in planning and formulating state policy for development of agriculture in Rajasthan state. He is having life membership of eight professional societies working in the field of agriculture and awarded by Fellowship of Indian Society of Seed Spices, Ajmer in 2010.
Dr. Anukrati Sharma is currently Associate Professor in the Faculty of Commerce and Management, University of Kota, Kota Rajasthan, India. Dr. Sharma has worked as an internal trainer and teacher in the management arena. In the year 2015 she got a Research Award by UGC, New Delhi on the topic of Analysis of the Status of Tourism in Hadoti and Shekhawati Region/Circuit (Rajasthan): Opportunities, Challenges and Future Prospectus. Seeing her work on Tourism UGC has given her one year extension for her project till year 2018. Her doctorate degree is in Tourism Marketing from University of Rajasthan and she completed her dissertation research on the topic of Tourism in Rajasthan Progress & Prospects. She has two post graduate degree specialties - one in International Business (Masters of International Business) and another in Business Administration (Masters of Commerce). Her core subjects are Tourism, Strategic Management, and International Business Management.

Born on 13th April, 1960 at Solapur in Maharashtra, Dr. Ambadas Dattatraya Huchche graduated in agriculture from College of Agriculture, Nagpur in 1981, obtained M. Sc. in horticulture from Post Graduate Institute, Akola under Dr. Punjabrao Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola in 1983 and Ph. D. (Hort.) from Chaudhari Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar in 1999. He joined Agriculture Research Service of ICAR on 16th December, 1986 at IIHR, Bangalore and was later transferred as one of the founder Scientists to the newly instituted National Research Centre for Citrus at Nagpur. Since then he has dedicated himself to Citrus research and the cause of citrus orchardists.
Dr. A. D. Huchche’s areas of research include studies on causal factors for induction of citrus flowering, fruit set, fruit retention, control of fruit drop, fruit size, crop regulation, use of growth regulators, climate change related phenology of citrus and resilience measures, nutrient and weed management and soil and water conservation. Some of the technologies at his credit include standardization of quantum of water stress in Nagpur mandarin and acid lime, control of pre and post-harvest fruit drop in citrus, crop regulation in Nagpur mandarin and acid lime, fruit size control. Control of fruit drop and fruit size technologies have been widely accepted in all the citrus growing parts of India. He is also actively involved in transfer of technology programmes of the Centre and organized eleven training programmes under Trainer's Training Centre at NRCC, Nagpur. Dr. Huchche has a total of 116 publications to his credit including 29 research papers, 59 papers presented in seminar and symposia, 8 book chapters, two manuals, 4 popular articles, two technical bulletins, five extension bulletins, five extension folders one book and has delivered ten radio talks on different topics of citriculture.

Pravesh Sharma voluntarily retired from the IAS in January 2016 after a career spanning 34 years and is currently supporting Sabziwala, a start-up which aims to link vegetable and fruit farmers to consumers to create a new model in F&V supply. In his last assignment, he served for 5 years as Managing Director of the Small Farmer's Agribusiness Consortium (2010-15), Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, and undertook a successful national campaign to mobilize farmers into producer organisations (FPOs) to integrate smallholders in the value chain. Pravesh Sharma spent one year as Visiting Fellow at the Center of International Studies, Princeton University, USA (1994-95), researching food policy issues. He served on a 5-year UN assignment with the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) between 2001 and 2006.

Vijayakumar Browning is a mechanical engineer with four decades of experience in the Indian tractor industry and has personally witnessed the evolution of the country from shortages to surplus in food. His work has brought him in close contact with the farming community of India and more recently with farmers in several African nations. He is passionate in his concern to make small holders, who form the majority in most developing economies, to be sustainable, and his strong belief that Integrated farming leveraging mechanisation is the path to such sustainability.
Taranjeet is a passionate agri technology professional, with a vision to solve agricultural issues using technology interventions. Taranjeet is an agricultural engineering graduate from IIT Kharagpur and an MBA from IIM Calcutta, with more than a decade of experience working internationally in agriculture supply chain, consulting and data analytics solutions.
Currently, as Managing Director of AgNext, he is working on devising various high-impact technologies for agriculture. Her fields include international relations, (United Nations, European Union and OECD, as well as bilateral with countries), technical assistance to promote international projects, draft, analysis and assessment of national policy plans and programs on environment, assessment of Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+I) projects, coordination and elaboration of studies and reports with institutions and organizations, networking and negotiating with Industry Associations, NGO's, Consultants, institutions and organizations.
Since September 2016, she has been serving under the capacity of Counsellor for Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, Embassy of Spain, New Delhi.

(1985), Dr. Engineer Agronomist; Ph.D. on “The elimination of Methyl Bromide in Crop Protection as a World Model for the Preservation of the Environment”, developed in the Agro-forestry Ecosystems Department, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain. (2006) and has a degree in Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Spanish National Distance Education University, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), Spain (2016). She has also done a range of environment policies and co-operation training courses in the Spanish National Public Administration School and has done a Bilateral program of international mobility, UNED - Mexican National Autonomous University (UNAM).

His key function areas include procurements of soya, mustard, edible oils, sales oils, oilseed, & oil meal etc.
He handled Bunge Key project - Soya Samridhi in Bundi District (through SRIJAN) wherein he looked after Profitability & Productivity enhancement for poor & marginal farmer's in past year 2010-12.
He is presently responsible for edible oil procurement's for Bunge food's for Rajasthan (Bundi) Punjab (Rajpura) and Gujrat (Kandla), etc. for processing & packing. Bunge Brands are CHAMBAL, GAGAN, DALDA, Lotus and Masterline etc.
He is a member of SOPA, MOPA, SEA, etc. and a key members of SEA-RM seed crop committee.
Dr. R Kannan has been associated with the Himalaya Drug Company since 17 years by now. Prior to this he has served as Assistant Professor at MIET Arts & Science College for 6 months (September 1998 – February 1999). He also served in the capacity of Project Supervisor at Tamil University for 1 year (April 1991 - March 1992).
He has received several certifications for - Export Management Program, Training on Organic Farming, Processing and Certification, OECD Principals of Good Laboratory Practices, Corporate Training Workshop in Communication Skills and Workshop on Scientific Writing.
He has also received patent for herbal composition for the treatment of diabetes and pharmaceutical formulations thereof.

Mr. Raghunath Dass Chhabra, B.Sc., M.A., MBA, a retired Govt. Officer of 'Food Corporation of India, where rendered 38 years of distinguished service (From 1971 to 2009) in the field of Warehousing of Agri commodities in different capacities like PV & Audit of storage of food grain, Vigilance etc. He remained General Manager (Audit) in an Agri business company having components of Warehousing and Collateral Management from 2009 to 2012.
Mr. D. K. Meena has Research experience on wetlands and reservoirs (Fish conservation, ecosystem based fisheries management, feed and feeding management for enclosure culture and aquatic ecological management).
He has worked as a team member for designing By-catch reduction devices in Cochin waters. He is presently working on developing suitable feed for fish species cultured in cages. Further, he is also working on “Sustainable management of flood plain wetlands for enhanced fisheries and livelihood”. He is also working on genetic diversity of Indian major carps from major rivers of India and other inland open waters.
He has imparted training to different stake holders on different aspect of inland fisheries and aquaculture.
Mr. D. K. Meena is also a recipient of young scientist award by Academy of Environmental Biology.
Mukesh Gupta, is heading Morarka Foundation, as its Executive Director since 1994-95. He is also Director- Operations for Morarka Organic Foods Limited from 2009-10 and also has the responsibilities as Head for CSR Activities of GDC Ltd, New Delhi.
Mukesh Gupta has pioneered Organic Agriculture in India through a unique social entrepreneur based development model. Beginning in 1994-1995, in over 20 years more than 250,000 small farmers in 22 States of India & many other Countries have been enabled-assisted to take up Organic Farming. Mr. Gupta pioneered the vermiculture technology in 1995, the backbone of organic farming and promoted it all over India through Social Entrepreneurs. Recently he has been an Expert- Member on "BIS panel for drafting Organic Standards in 2014". In addition he has been advisor consultant to many other Country Governments on Agriculture, Organic Farming & Biotechnology for countries like Malaysia, Saudi Arabia etc. He has also been President, "International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture" in 2007-2011. He has also been Founder President, "Organic Trade Association" (130 Members), India in 2010 for developing international organic business from India.

His most prominent contribution has been PRIDETM (Progressive Rural Integrated Digital Enterprise) business model for farmer organizations. Dr. Keshwa started his professional career as Agronomy Scientist in 1979 and served as Assistant Professor (1979-1989), Associate Professor (1990-2000) and Professor and University Head (2001-2008) at SKN College of Agriculture, Jobner. He worked as a Dean, SKN College of Agriculture, Jobner from May 30, 2009 to January 6, 2015. He was appointed as Officer on Special Duty by Govt. of Rajasthan to establish newly created Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner from April 2013 to October 2014. He also served as Registrar (additional charge) from March 2014 to October 2014 and Director Education from January 2015 to August 2015, Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner. He retired as Director Education on August 31, 2015 on attaining the age of super-annuation.
He guided 23 M.Sc. and Ph.D. students as a major advisor. He has his credit 125 research papers in journals of international/national repute, popular articles, manuals, book chapters, folders etc. and presented more than 43 papers in international/national congress/symposium/seminar/conference etc. Soil management, crop husbandry and agroforestry are the areas in which Dr. Keshwa has extensively contributed as teacher, scientist, research manager and administrator.
Dr. Keshwa held offices of professional bodies and acted as member of several professional societies including Indian Society of Agronomy, Haryana Agronomists Association, Indian Society of Agroforestry, Indian Society of Desert Technology, etc. He was honoured by Indian Society of Agronomy and American Society of Agronomy during International Agronomy Congress held on November 22-25, 2016 at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi for his contributions as excellent teacher, researcher and administrator. He has received award/honour by Harishewa Samiti, Bhilwara conferred by Sh. Shiv Charan Mathur, H.E. Governor of Assam (2009) and Rashtriya Krishi Samachar (2011) conferred by Sh. Harji Ram Burdak and Sh. Murari Lal Meena, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and State Minister of Technical Education (Agriculture). Govt. of Rajasthan, respectively.
Dr. Keshwa obtained degree of B.Sc. (Ag.) and M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) from University of Udaipur in 1976 and 1979, respectively and Ph.D. (Agronomy) in 1987 from Sukhadia University, Udaipur (Rajasthan).
Mr. Kuldeep has worked with Indian Institute for Rural Development (IIRD) for six years. He has managed nine projects with support of a team of 79. Project managed during this period at IIRD includes RIP (SIDBI), DPIP (World Bank –GoR), Vermiculture promotion (DBT GoI), SHG (NABARD), Sanitation (TSC), Education for girl child (Unicef), Mal-nutrition management (Unicef), Food processing and preservation (DST GoR), water harvesting and agriculture enterprises promotion (Planning Commission GoI & Zila Parishad) and agriculture technologies (SGSY & ATMA).
In October 2005 he joined TATA-AIG as Assistant Manager Rural & Social (responsible for state). Post TALIC, he started a separate micro finance division in IIRD in capacity of Director wherein he scaled the micro finance operation in five districts within one year of inception. In May 2007 he took over an existing NBFC and developed NBFC-MFI namely ARTH Microfinance Pvt Ltd. Presently, he is managing micro finance operations of company, which is spread in three states Rajasthan, Madhya Pardesh and Gujarat. In addition to this managing IIRD rural development projects with help of a team of more than 46 rural development professionals and grass root workers. Presently, he is acting as Director Indian Institute for Rural Development IIRD and ARTH Microfinance Private Limited (NBFC-MFI).
His areas of interest include Concept / Project visualization, Task-Team Management and Public Relations / liaison. He has received many trainings and has participated in several workshops like Management Development Programme on Rural Marketing at XLRI, Jamsedpur, International conclave on National Conclave on Social Entrepreneurship Education, five days orientation workshop on Poverty Alleviation Project organized by State Government, London Convention 2005, etc. to name a few. He has also received Golden Award on being top business associate with TATA-AIG among rural partners (Organized by American Insurance Company AIG).
His major achievements include preparing community operation manual for largest poverty reduction programme being implemented by state government Rajasthan Rural Livelihoods Programme (RRLP) supported by World Bank, conceiving and promoting moisture retention technology plant for citrus fruit in Jhalawar, promoting various community institutions around credit, agriculture produce & enterprises. He was awarded fellowship by Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) during higher management studies at EDI. He has also got the award of “Best Enterprise Service Provider” in North India from SIDBI & Ministry of Finance. Further, he got an Appreciation letter from Ministry of SSI & ARI Government of India, an Appreciation letter from “Press Club” District Collector & MLA Jhalawar for special contribution in the industrial development of the district, a Recognition letter from Chief Minister Rajasthan Government for drought relief works.
Mr. Kuldeep is a graduate in Arts from DAV College Chandigarh (PB) (Punjab University) in the year of 1997. Thereafter he pursued his Post Graduation Diploma in Business & Entrepreneurship Management from Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India EDII, Ahmedabad in the year of 1999.
Dr. Ratan Sharma is a Ph. D in soy food technology from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India. Also, he did specialized soy food courses and advanced training on soy processing and utilization from University of Illinois, Texas A&M and Kansas State University, NCI in USA and Prosoya Inc, Canada. Dr. Sharma is a soy food expert of the international repute. He has the credit for transferring and establishing the soy milk processing machine (SoyaCow) technology from Canada to India. Dr. Sharma has traveled extensively to Canada, USA, Netherlands, South Africa, Egypt, Singapore, Uganda, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Jordan, Thailand, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, UAE etc. to help the soy food program in these countries. Dr. Sharma is having more than 22 years’ experience in the field of soy based food production and commercialization on cottage, medium and large scale and has established and helped more than 1,000 soy food entrepreneurs in India and many other countries.
Dr. Sharma is very actively involved with the Indian government departments dealing with the feeding and social welfare programs for the inclusion of soy foods in school lunch and supplementary nutrition programs, Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) for fixing the soy food products standard and related regulatory norms, Skill Development Council of India to develop the qualification packs required to hire the tech and commercial staff for the soy food processing including the soy oil under the “Make in India” program of the Government of India. He very recently prepared and launched a “White Paper on Soy Nutrition” By involving the other stakeholders from the soy industry, concerned government departments and premier nutrition institute of the Indian government.
The contribution of Dr. Sharma for the soy food industry in India has been very well recognized and documented in the book “History of Soybeans and Soy Foods in South Asia/Indian Subcontinent (1956-2010) by William Shurtleff. Dr. Sharma is one of the founder members of the Soy Food Promotion and Welfare Association (SFPWA) of India.
Dr. Sharma has the expertise to formulate the soy based low cost formulations/recipes for the human feeding programs and for the general consumption in India and other geographies. He represented USSEC as speaker and panelist in various National/international conferences and committees organized by the government of India and other Indian industry forums.
For his outstanding contribution to promote the soy food concept and establishing a large number of soy food industries in India Dr. Sharma received awards by the Soy Food Promotion and Welfare Association of India (SFPWA), Wheat Products Promotion Society of India (WPPS) and Punjab and Gujarat Soy Food Processors Associations for his contribution to promote the soy as a low cost nutrition and generating employment opportunities.
